How to solved Google AdSense duplicate account issue

A Google AdSense duplicate account issue happens when Google detects that you (or your details) are linked to more than one AdSense account. Google allows only one AdSense account per person. Here’s how to resolve it, step by step.

1. Identify why Google flagged it as duplicate

Common reasons include:

  • You created more than one AdSense account yourself
  • Someone else used your name, address, phone number, or tax info
  • You had an old AdSense account you forgot about
  • You applied again after a rejection instead of fixing the original account
  • You’re part of a business account but applied as an individual (or vice versa)

2. Find your existing AdSense account

Before appealing, try to recover the old account.

  1. Go to Google AdSense login
  2. Click “Forgot email?” or “Forgot password?”
  3. Use:
    • Your full name
    • Recovery email
    • Phone number
  4. Check all Google emails you may have used

👉 If you regain access, close the new application and keep only the old account.

3. If you cannot access the old account

Submit an appeal to Google.

Steps to appeal:

  1. Go to the AdSense Duplicate Account Appeal Form
  2. Provide:
    • Full legal name (must match ID)
    • Email used in the rejected application
    • Explanation (be honest and clear)

Sample appeal message:

I accidentally created a new AdSense account without realizing I already had one in the past. I do not intend to maintain multiple accounts. I am willing to close any duplicate account and comply fully with Google AdSense policies.

⏳ Review usually takes 3–14 days.

4. If someone else used your details

Mention this clearly in the appeal:

  • State that you did not authorize the other account
  • Confirm you will keep only one account

Google may ask for identity verification.

5. If your old account was permanently disabled

⚠️ Important:

  • You cannot create a new AdSense account if one was permanently banned
  • Appeals are rarely approved unless it was a mistake

In this case:

  • Use someone else’s AdSense (business partner or company account)
  • Or register a legal company and apply under the company (only if Google allows it)

6. What NOT to do (very important)

❌ Do NOT:

  • Create another Gmail and reapply
  • Use fake or altered personal details
  • Apply using VPNs or different devices to “hide identity”

This can lead to permanent, non-reversible bans.

7. Best practice going forward

  • Keep one AdSense account for life
  • Use accurate, verifiable personal information
  • If changing ownership, use AdSense account transfer, not reapplication
